Train for Success with Sarah Walker (MSc)

As an accredited Running Coach, graduated sports scientist and Biomechanist, I have spent the last 15 years developing my coaching skills and experience in Yorkshire. I have worked with clubs and individuals towards the goal of making running feel rewarding and enjoyable. My focus includes enhancing strength, improving nutritional strategies, preventing injuries, and training for longer distances. In 2024, I relocated to Cornwall and adopted virtual coaching to continue working with both current and future clients.

I have an extensive background in sports coaching, strength and conditioning complemented by academic qualifications and research in Sports Science. My personal long-term experience in endurance sports allows me to see training from the athlete's perspective.

I pride myself on Continuing Professional Development to ensure my knowledge and practice are evidence-based and up-to-date with current research. As a sports science graduate, I utilise my knowledge of Biomechanics and Strength and Conditioning to guide runners on injury prevention and optimal running form. My primary focus and interest since I began coaching have been in running and triathlon and throughout my studies, I have selected to research various aspects of injury mechanism and long-distance running performance.

"Through Sarah' s hard work and tailored training combining strength and injury prevention, I have been able to go from not being able to run 1km to successfully completing a marathon distance trail run. The knowledge and science behind the training is fantastic "

Steve C, West Yorkshire

I’ve been training with Sarah for several years now, and her methods have made a huge difference to my running. Her knowledge, expertise and advice are second to none.

Erica Brown, West Yorkshire

I've been working with Sarah for almost a year and absolutely love it. She wrote me a tailored training programme to help me complete a multi-day ultra for the first time. She is friendly, approachable, attentive and supportive whilst giving you stretching targets to help you achieve your goals. I'm so glad I found her.
